In the poetry packet one of the poetry's I found most interesting was "In the Tree" The poem describes the rain setting a mood that makes him feel a more tranquilized way. As he reads you can sense a calming state almost as if you can hear the rain drops as you read. I found this relatable as i myself have always been intrigued by rain and the restful mood it puts me in.

I enjoyed today's discussion in class on Shakespeare's work. In particularly I liked the one my grouped discussed. It was the perfect example of love cliche's we discussed the previous class. Every line of the poem was an example of these. One of our classmates mentioned Shakespeare bragging about how plain his girl is but still loves her. I saw an example of this as well it seemed almost like he was trying to make her negatives a good thing and almost bragging about them. Me not being a fan of Shakespeare and especially love poems was not familiar with a lot of his work.

Another conversation as brought up today about colors and how how people are so narrow minded they automatically see things one way. I think its always important to stay open minded and be willing to learn. you cant learn without an open mind, but i like the comment mentioned from one of our peers how the color "black" can have numerous meaning in poetry. In poetry colors sre often known to represent emotion and to set a mood for example red being anger or blue beng depressed. I think its clever when writers include this in their work to help create a picture.
